Yesterday was so so so much fun! 
and I hung out with two of our friends from California who came into town and we just talked and talked and time flew by so quickly. We walked on a tranquil prairie and marsh path surrounded by prairie dock and towering yellow flowers. The preserve had a historic farm and we got to see some big fluffy fancy chickens. We drew the chickens for a bit before continuing on our walk. Afterwards we got some drinks at a coffee shop and talked for hours, then transferred our hangout to a Korean fried chicken restaurant since we had completely talked past lunch. All the food was great and the company was even better. It always feel inspiring to hear what art your friends are doing and what they are dreaming about doing as well. The night before that me and had made sure to carve out some time for ourselves and went on a really nice date 
We ate out at a Thai restaurant (gorged ourselves basically) and then shared some Thai rolled ice cream at a place next door. The main attraction of the evening was watching Toy Story in theaters. It's been so busy but I'm glad we were able to get some time to ourselves. I'm feeling hopeful for the rest of the year : )
